Annivor Job died peacefully Thursday morning, August 12, 2021, in her sleep after complaining about shortness of breath to the staff early on.

She was born on May 12, 1924 in Richfield, Utah to Roscoe and Elmira Heppler. The elder Heppler is survived by her daughters Leslie, Joni, Melissa and her husband Brian, her son George and his wife LaRae, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband George and daughter Stephanie, her grandson Max, her sisters Orpha, Nola, and Rhea and her brothers Max and Ross.

The 97 year old mother of 5 was loving, caring, fun and adventurous and well liked by others. Annivor loved her children, movies, theater, shopping, reading, crossword and jig-saw puzzles and Hawaii. She was always a lady and always a Mom. She also was the best den mother a Cub Scout troop could ever have.

Early on she worked as a transponder aiding the war effort at home when she fell in love and married George Job, a pilot for the Army Air Force in the European theater. After the war they lived in Utah and were transferred to California and then Washington State, raising their family all along the way.

With her children grown she returned to work as a city administrator, where her co-workers affectionately referred to her as “Annie”. After retiring there as a purchasing agent and the death of her husband George in 1985, Annie met through mutual friends Jim Grubb. They traveled as companions extensively by RV and later were snowbirds wintering at Ann’s condo in Nevada and spending summers at Jim’s home in Washington. After Jim passed away suddenly, Annivor moved back to the Seattle area where she lived alone until moving into an assisted living facility in Kent.

She will lay at rest beside her husband George, reunited after 36 years, at Acacia Memorial Park in the Seattle area. The family is planning a celebration of her life at her granddaughter Erin’s home in Washington State towards summers end.
