Bradford Paul Hartt was born on July 27, 1926 in Seattle, Washington to David Roy and Jennie Lind Hartt. He was promoted to Glory on July 5, 2021, at age 94. He is survived by his wife Ruth, his daughter Margaret and husband Mark Paris, his daughter Carolyn and husband Doug Vanhulse, his granddaughter Rachel Laub, and his sister Charlotte Griffiths. He was preceded in death by his daughter Lorraine, his sisters Margaret and Jean, and his brothers David, Richard, and Joseph.
Brad accepted Christ as his Savior when he was 14 years of age and was filled with joy in knowing his sins were all forgiven. He went to Three Hills Alberta Canada for 4 years of high school and then 4 more years at Prairie Bible Institute. His summers between his years in Bible institute were spent traveling with a male quartet all over Canada and the United States, singing and playing his trumpet.
In the fall of 1948 he left for Cuba where he participated in radio ministry and taught at Cuba Bible Institute. In 1952 he returned to Canada and married Ruth Maxwell on March 27, 1954. Their daughter Margaret was born in Washington state in 1955 and they traveled to Cuba in 1956. Their daughter Lorraine was born in Cuba in 1958. The Hartts lived through the Cuban revolution and final communist takeover on Jan 1, 1959. Nineteen months later they left Cuba to return to the United States. Brad (known as Pablo, within Spanish communities) served as pastor of Hispanic churches – first in Tampa, Florida where Carolyn their third daughter was born in 1964. After leaving Tampa, Brad served in Spanish ministry in the Chicago area and finally in Renton, Washington where he lived until his death.
After retirement, Brad and Ruth were involved in many different ministries in Arizona, Oregon, and Washington. Brad’s hobbies were many- including carving diamond willow walking sticks, collecting chalcedony stones, repairing lawn mowers, etc. He and Ruth loved to roam the mountains together, gathering mushrooms, picking huckleberries, and cooking over an open fire. And music was always a very important part of Brad’s life.
We will all miss him very much.
In Brad’s memory, donations may be made to Seattle Union Gospel Mission, Sunset Community Church (Renton, WA), or Prairie Bible College (Alberta, Canada).

Yes, we will miss Brad/Pablo for a little while. No more phone calls, no more family picnics in the backyard, no more visits traveling together across the Canadian countryside. But the future Hope we have in Christ, is far better than any previous experience that we shared here on earth.

Pablo was instrumental in the Prison ministry in Washington that i worked with Ruth. He baptized a few of the women in the facility and he was also guest speaker on special occasion. He will always be the little boy with a twinkle in his eyes. Always searching for a door in to preach salvation to anyone willing to hear him. He never missed an opportunity (a stranger in the street.. the waiter at the restaurant). He will be missed. My love to Ruth n the family. Always Francisca Joshua
What a dear, dear man! First thing I wanted to do when I heard that he had gone to be with Jesus, was to call Mother and tell her. But she was in Heaven and so maybe they had seen each other already. Mother and Dad loved Brad and always talked a lot about him. Since I was 4, I thought he was so special. Mother always told me that she thought Ruth was a wonderful wife for Brad. Now he is with Grandma Hartt who used to take care of me at Prairie, and Grandpa Hartt. And those of us who are left may see him sooner than we think. What a day that will be. Much love to you Ruth, and your girls. I know you will miss him. I am praying for God’s comfort for you all.
An eternal legacy has been left that will continue to transcend generations, changing the lives of grandparents, parents and children for many years to come for the glory of Christ. Well done good and faithful servant.

Mr Hartt made a tremendous positive impact in so many lives. We have wonderful memories of the time spent together, the love he showed to my (Beronda) family. His humor, his smile that lit up his face will never be forgotten. We look forward to the day we are reunited in heaven and he welcomes all his friends to our heavenly home
