Born May 17, 1926 to Alice Foster Hargus McPhail and Alexander Marks McPhail in Kingsland, Arkansas, Betty has now joined her beloved parents and sisters Jean Durspek and Mary Nell Lindrud in heaven.

Betty passed on peacefully after a long struggle with multiple health problems.  A beautiful woman full of grace and an open heart, Betty is survived by her husband of 64 years, Kenneth Dean Turner.  She leaves behind many beloved family members. Her sister, Flo  Oliphant, brother, Jack Leali McPhail and her children, Sherry Lynn Beard, Debra K Hauser (Kip), Nancy Turner Singh (Surinder) and Ken Turner Jr. (Laura Murel). Grandchildren, R. Kip Hauser, Sarah Lynn New (Wesley), Maya Turner Singh, Alissa Rose Turner, Alexander Bakshi Singh, Alexander Murel Turner, Cheryl Hauser, Carrie Agustin, Cathy Seeley and great grandchildren, Luke and Landen Seeley, Jake and Halle Agustin and Laken Porter Hauser.

Betty and Ken met and married in Little Rock, Arkansas on November 3, 1946.  They went on to live in Texas, California, Arizona and Washington State.  Betty devoted her life to raising her children, doting on her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loving her husband Ken.  In her early years with Ken, they enjoyed dancing and Betty loved to sing.  She was a joyful and loving woman to the end. Betty will be missed by all who knew and loved her.  We rejoice in the knowledge that she is at peace in heaven.

Those wishing to remember Betty may make a donation in her honor to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
