John (Dave) Trautmann
Dave passed peacefully on Nov. 14, 2020 surrounded by his loving brothers.
He was born in Blackduck Minnesota on Jan. 5, 1946 to parents John and Eileen. The oldest of four sons he was a loving and supporting brother who provided inspiration to overcome whatever obstacles may get in the way.
Despite an auto accident that left him wheelchair bound from age 16 he maintained a zest for life that was admired by all. From traveling the country with friends to attending family reunions, he always wanted to be independent and not rely on others. He was a warrior who faced any setback with determination and grace, always coming back for more.
He is survived by his brothers Joe, Chris, and Tim and preceded in death by parents John and Eileen.

Lots of hugs and prayers to your families. David made a big impact on me, from when I stayed at your house. He was not only a cousin but a great inspiration. Love to you.

I am so sad to hear of Dave’s passing. He was one of the kindest, and most gentle people I’ve ever know. I’m so happy my sister, and I saw him at our reunion. We had a nice conversation catching up on our lives. I’ll miss his sweet smile, and friendship. My condolences to his brothers.
