Patricia Marie Sawyer

Her 2+ breast cancer took mom’s life. Family and friends were by her side.

She was fearless parting this world with dignity and class like everything she did.

She studied hair in Switzerland at 19. She opened the 1st Beauty salon at the mall in Eugene Oregon. She enjoyed being a stylist. She LOVED life, traveling all over the world with friends, the life she and Teddy made in Maz, dancing music, fishing, swimming, beach, woods, boating, walking, great food. Always up for adventure.

BEST MOM AND GREAT FRIEND, LISTENER, ADVISOR, WISE, WARM, KIND. She said with tears, “I am grateful for my family and friends. I feel OVERFLOWING with SO MUCH LOVE from everyone I’m HAPPY and at PEACE.”

She will be laid to rest in our family cemetery in Elkton,Oregon with her mom and dad. No service @ her request. Memorial donations Children’s Hospital

Patti was such a dear family friend, first meeting my father who had started his dental practice in that same little strip mall in Eugene. The friendship grew to include my mother all the Sholes children and eventually 3 generations of Sholes. It is safe to say that she has been loved and adored by us all.
I am so grateful to have had this remarkable woman in my life, she held me as a baby and I was blessed to get to say goodbye to her hours before she passed.
She had an amazing ability to weather life’s storms with wisdom and grace, she has taught me so much about how to live with love and gratitude.
    Grateful to have know you.
    RIP Dear Patti

    Dearest Patti…so
sad to read of your passing in Times paper Oct. 20th! I was introduced to Patti by Teddy (Ted Udhus) my high school classmate. Oh how he loved Patti, and all who knew her did too. I spent a week in Matzatlan with Ted and Patti shortly after I retired in October 1999. Patti had a beautiful and warm smile, and I loved our friendship. Peace be with you, Patti, and what a blessings you were to all!

We have a special group of neighbors here, we are a family of sorts and you will be dearly missed. We feel lucky to have Jami here with us now. We will think of you often and always with a smile. Kiss Jeff for me! Love Leslie

Patti, Patti aka Liz (special joke). You left a big hole is this world. I’ll always be grateful for your friendship as high school classmates and beyond. You taught me so many lessons, Acceptance by far the best one that changed my life. In all your darkest moments you always smiled and showed your true grit. Thankfully I was able to visit you the weekend of your passing. Peace be with you my friend!

My very best friend for 50+ years. It will be very lonesome without you. I know you are in a better place, but that doesn’t make any of us who loved you miss you any less. You were always there when I needed someone to talk to you always had a smile and words of wisdom. We also had many fun girl times so many laughs!!You’ll be waiting for me and we will continue where we left off. Love and miss you.
