Loretta Ann Tryka
Born April 2, 1932, Loretta passed away peacefully on November 12, 2018.
She was a former member of the order of the Sisters of Holy Names, and later in life she became an associate member of the order. She taught for many in years in the Catholic School system throughout Washington.
Loretta spent the last 26 years in Everett, Washington and was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Parish.
She was a golfer and even got a hole in one after she retired from teaching. She loving bowling and for many years belonged to two senior leagues. She was an avid sports watcher and loved the Seahawks and especially enjoyed watching the Seattle Mariner’s.
Loretta was preceded in death by her husband Walter Tryka, her parents Sam and Morrell Fletcher, her brothers Jim, Dick, Bill, and Don Fletcher as well as her sisters Mary Sarlund and Florence Pancoast. She was the baby of the family and the last one to be called home.
Loretta was well known for her soda bread and peanut butter balls which she shared each year with her many friends and family.
Loretta is survived by her niece Toni (Jim) Schwichtenberg and many other nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her many friends and family.
Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Seattle on January 5, 2019. Details to be announced later.
