Mellissa Rae Mathieson passed away unexpectedly and suddenly at her home in Des Moines, Washington on 9/18/2018 at the age of 49. Mellissa was a fun loving, full of life person who always showed concern towards others and her faith and belief in our Lord Jesus Christ always shined through the good times and the bad. Mellissa is survived by her Husband Edward, Mother Joan Bowers, her 3 adult grown Children, Debrah Rouse, Joshua Stern and Rebekka. She is also survived by her 3 Sisters, Kristen, Leah and Dawn. She was preceded in death by her Father Albert Rae Bowers who passed away on August 9th, 2018.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the home of her Mother, Joan Bowers, 705 NE 6th Street in Coupeville, WA at 9 AM on 10/7/2018. Also, a Memorial Service will be held at Living Hope Foursquare Church on 10/7/18 at 3 PM in Coupeville, WA.

This is my youngest daughter. She is so dearly loved and we fought with her for life so many times. Even though it is good that she does not hurt any more it doesn’t take away that she is missed so very much.
