Elaine Hickox
Elaine Hickox, 87 years of age, passed on Friday May 4th, at her home in Chehalis WA.
Elaine was born September 30, 1930 in Saint Paul, MN to the late Sam and Florence Pappas.
Elaine married Ernest Hickox in 1973 becoming stepmom to Joseph, Janet, Deborah and Daniel, and later grandma to Adam and Julie. But her love was so big that she also became mom to all her “special sons and daughters” that she took care throughout the years at her Daycare.
Elaine was an active member of the Lake City Elks and once president of the American Legion. She loved watching classic movies, reading and collecting books and magazines, writing letters and playing with her grandkids. Her smile was contagious and laughter would bright the days of everyone around her.
Elaine is survived by her husband, Ernie Hickox, and her family, Joe Hickox, Janet Hickox, Debbie Hickox, Dan Hickox, Irma Hickox, Adam Hickox, Julie Hickox, Dorothy Walton and Marie Philbrook.
The family invites all Elaine’s friends to come and celebrate her life on Friday, May 18 at Noon, at the Hollyrood Catholic Cemetery for a graveside service.

Sorry to hear of Elaine’s death. She was such a friendly neighbor. Our sympathy to you and your dear family. Hope all is well with you.
Sherwin and I are retiring in Lynden near our families. Getting older but in good health.

I am so sorry to hear about Elaine’s passing. She was such a nice & fun lady. I meant her at the Lake City Emblem.She was such a big help taking care of my sons Trent, Troy & Mark when I went back to work. They had fun with all of the kids. She was known as “Auntie Elaine”. My thoughts & prayers are with you all.
