Susan Lenetta Ackman, (Gingeresky) December 4, 2017, Bellevue, WA. Susan passed from this world peacefully surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer.
Susan was born on August 17, 1954 in Seattle, WA. to Stephen Gingeresky and Lenetta Nelson Johnson.
Susan spent the first 6 years of her life living in Bellevue Washington. Her family moved to New Orleans Louisiana, returning to Bellevue in 1966. Family travels took her to Japan, Hong Kong, Greece, Denmark, and England,. She graduated from Redmond high school and the University of Washington with a communications major. She worked for Frederick & Nelson, the Bon Marche and Macy’s as a china, crystal, and silver expert as well as a wedding consultant.

In 2003 she married Richard D. Ackman and they lived in Renton and Kent, WA.
Susan loved to collect china, crystal and silver. Her colleagues were always amazed at the way she could know the name of a pattern and it’s providence.
She will be missed by all that knew her. She was survived by her husband Richard, mother Lenetta, sister Lynn, and brother Stephen. As well as her nieces and nephews. She kept her sense of humor until the end.

Sue, you had a special way of thoughtfully thinking of others, to include even the little details. You were an inspiration to me these last many months as you gracefully walked through your many challenges, all with a focus on life and with a sense of humor.
When I became the bridal supervisor at Macy’s, Sue was my go to girl. She was passionate about her job and was excellent at it. Our friendship continued after we both left work. I will truly miss her. My condolences to the family.

Dearest Lenetta and Family, I am so saddened over Sue’s passing and send my love and prayers to all of you. Sue was the one who brought us together by simply writing on Facebook and asking if i was her sister Lynn? Well we started chatting and shared stories trying to figure out who each other was. Then i got the chance to meet everyone and we have stayed in contact ever since. l am forever grateful to Sue for introducing the other Gingereskys into my life. I so wish that i had the pleasure of meeting Sue.

Dear Lenny and family. I was so saddened by the news of Sue’s passing. It was such a joy to keep up with her on Facebook even though we hadn’t seen each other in many years. I’m sure my mom greeted her with open arms! Love to all of you! God bless xoxo
