I remember Rod as a little kid that used to play with my kids. Then later when he was all grown up he stopped by the house one evening and we had great one on one conversation about life etc. When I was working in the yard and he drove by he would always honk and have a smile and a wave. He will be missed. May God Bless his soul.
Rod was such a sweet guy, one of my cousins that sadly I didn’t get to see too often except holidays and family events, but he always had a warm smile, and loving presence from the time he was a little kid. I am so sorry he is gone too soon . He will be missed so much by family and friends…Love cousin Terry..
Rod and I meet shortly after high school in Seattle. We both would attend Culinary Arts at North Seattle C.C.
We had remained friends through out the years doing a lot of different things with each other. We would have some very deep discussions about life in general and the meaning of life. Rod was a sensitive and caring man and always put himself second. There where times I had to tell him to stop over helping, but that was his nature. I will miss him greatly and miss those phone calls when I’m on the road. Rest in Peace my good friend Rod Jackson. May you find your “Happy Place” in this universe. Love Andy
Rod was a good friend of mine in HighSchool and beyond. I miss his wit and silliness. We shared a love of food and cooking. He will always be a part of our crew.
We have been neighbors with the Jackson’s for almost 26 years. In all that time Rod was always friendly, and helpful, and always happy to see us. Pretty rare to have someone so unfailingly positive. I think the last time he was at our house, it was to help Jodee “break in ” when she locked herself out . Typical Rod. It greives us so much to realize we never helped Rod like he always helped us
Roderick was a joy to have as a son. He was our best friend and good companion and we miss him so much. He put others needs above his own. Rod knew how to be a good friend. He always worked out conflicts and problems with a strong desire to help others and to better someone else’s circumstances.
Because of his suffering we knew he couldn’t stay in this life any longer. It was so hard to let him go but we knew it was for his best. He looked forward to meeting Jesus face to face because he said Jesus was his best friend. Ron and Susan Jackson
Ron and I are so grateful for all those who attended Rod’s Memorial. It was good to share the happy memories. It helps to comfort one another and encourage each other at times like this. Rod was a very special person and had many friends. We miss him very much.
