Our beloved mother and sister transitioned into divine love to be with God. Her goofy humor and distinctive laugh was infectious. She loved gardening and was extremely knowledgeable on plants and flowers. Her green thumb was obvious when you saw her yard. It was full of beautiful foliage and produce and you seldom saw a weed as she was so vigilant and proud to obtain the perfect garden.
Even though she was a bit of a loner, she always seemed to bring neighbors together. She was a key player in creating an unofficial neighborhood watch and brought strangers that only “lived next door” into friends.
When she moved to Alaska in 1976, the mountains, fresh air and wildlife captured her heart and would always be her “home”, even after moving to Washington State to be closer to her daughters. She found profound joy in being a mother. She was excellent at arts & crafts and we always had a fun, new project to create. Holidays were always special and our house was filled with homemade décor for each season.
You could see her spirit come alive when she was near the beach or the mountains. She was stubborn yet she was very generous. She would give you anything she had. Material possessions meant nothing to her. As long as she had lunches with her daughters, beautiful scenery or was gardening she was happy.
She will be greatly missed in the physical world but we find comfort that her soul is free and we will meet again. So instead of goodbye, I say see you later and in the meantime, please come visit me anytime. We love you, we always have and we always will.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Angela Call & Jennifer Bell, her 3 grandkids, Madison, Nicholas & Aiden (plus furry grandbabies), 5 sisters, 2 brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.
“Love never disappears for death is a non-event.
I have merely retired to the room next door.
You and I are the same; what we were for each other, we still are.
Speak to me as you always have, do not use a different tone, do not be sad.
Continue to laugh at what made us laugh.
Smile and think of me.
Life means what it has always meant.
The link is not severed.
Why should I be out of your soul if I am out of your sight?
I will wait for you, I am not here, but just on the other side of this path.
You see, all is well.”St Augustine

I shall miss you my beautiful sister. I loved your laughter. You had the prettiest grades. And now you will tend those beautiful flowers in heaven. Love you sister
Thank you for your friendship Julia, I’m gonna miss you!!
Julia, my Beautiful sister, my heart is broken and so very, very sad that you had to leave, I wish you did not have to go so soon. I hope Heaven is as Beautiful and Glorious as you once told me you remembered it to be. May God welcome you in his loving care and keep you surrounded with the most beautiful love, light and happiness you have ever felt forever!! I love you so very much!
What a beautiful lady, she looks so Happy in those pictures.
I am stunned. I remember her so well as a young mother when our daughters (Barbara and Kathy Bundy) were in elementary school together. A positive, cheerful and loving person. She must have been the BEST grandma. My condolences and best wishes to Angie and Jennifer. Bonnie Lembo
This does not seem real mama paketa. I love and miss you and my heart is shattered right now. Please come visit me and let me know you are ok. I treasure our memories and you will forever live in my heart. When I am at the ocean-you are with me, when I am looking at the mountains-you are with me. I raise my glass every wine-thirty and will miss your text saying cheers! Thank you for everything! Were you foreshadowing about yellow and black butterflies that one day because I am seeing them everywhere or is it just my imagination……either way you are here….I just can’t see or hear you anymore and that physical fact is so painful. I love you dear mama!!!
Julia was our neighbor for six beautiful years. She was such a joy and shared her knowledge of gardening freely, as we would come home and see Julia working in our garden talking to our plants. She would always jump in and help Ed whenever she seen him trimming trees and blackberry vines. Always offer help in cleaning my home as well. We will miss her greatly, what a wonderful friend/neighbor she was. Cheers to you Julia enjoy your garden in Heaven. Miss you already
