Christian Stanley Weise
Christian Stanley Weise died in a Kirkland Washington hospital after a very brief illness. He was 56 years old.
Born to Harry Weise and Joan (Stanley) Weise in Sonoma California on October 5, 1959. A 5th generation Sonoma Valley resident, Christian was named for his great-great grandfather who settled in Glen Ellen, California in the 1851.
Attending schools in Sonoma and later Santa Rosa, he graduated from Montgomery High School in 1977.
Not long after graduation and following in his father’s footsteps, Chris enlisted in the Air Force where he became a Staff Sergeant and munitions expert. The Air Force sent Chris to Germany where he was stationed for almost 5 years. During that time, he spent time on a naval carrier in the Persian Gulf, Chris was part of a team who armed the aircraft. He also furthered his education in business administration overseas through the University of Maryland.
Chris’ whole life was global, Chris had a great passion for travel and loved developing international business relationships. After the Air Force, Robbins Company sent him on tunneling projects all over the world, including South Africa, the Netherlands and Norway. Later, he worked for a company which sold guidance systems for directional drills. This job once again included global travel, as well as the opportunity to continue his education in marketing, management, and product development. Chris was proud to have studied at both Stanford and Harvard’s Business Schools. After a short stint working in the USA as operations officer for AeroGo, Inc., he again found himself traveling. He was in the process of expanding the world markets for AR Modular RF. He had just returned from India a week before he died.
He married Kristin Malia Jeffers on November 6, 1999 in a beautiful ocean side ceremony on Maui. Happily married for 16 years, they have two children, Greta and Beck.
Chris loved socializing with family and friends, riding his Harley Fat Boy, shooting with his buddies, the Walrus Team 6, and planning his next big adventure.
Chris is survived by his loving wife and children. His father Harry (Suzanne), his brother Jake (Denise, Teaguen, Mikayden), cousins Hal, Sue Edwards (Mike), Patty (Ed Hagan), Veronica Coates (Jesse, Holden Campos) and a large Jeffers family that loved him as one of their own.
He was preceded in death by his mother Joan Stanley and step-dad Peter Quinn.
A private celebration of life is planned for June 3rd so please raise a glass and toast to Christian and his joyful, adventurous life.

Forever sailing … x
When Marimba rhythm start to play
Dance with me, make me sway
Like the lazy ocean hugs the shore
Hold me close, sway me more
Like a flower bending in the breeze
Bend with me, sway with ease
When we dance, you have a way with me
Stay with me, sway with me
Malia, I’m so very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and my heart are with you.
Malia and Children, Even though we did not know Christian for long, he will remain a happy memory with us. May you take comfort in your loving memories of your time together.
I first met Chris in the UK at an AR management meeting
his friendly personality made me feel like I new him for years. I was very excited to work for him and his team to help them grow the modular division for AR.
His energy was catching. I’ll miss him personally as well as the opportunity to work with him professionally. My prayers go out to him and his family.
Malia, I’m so sorry, I will never forget the times we spent together. He was a special man and I know a wonderful loving father and husband. My love a prayers to you and the kids.
Chris may be gone but never forgotten. Steve and I are grateful to have known and performed with him. Chris’ friendship and joie de vivre were precious to us.
Dearest Malia- We met Chris when you were engaged. Uncle Don said he would bring me to your wedding, but when you decided on Hawaii, he drew the line! When we visited you in Kirkland a few years ago, we got to know Chris better. He was a gracious host, helping making us feel so welcome. It’s a tragedy to lose him so soon, but such joy he brought to your life! Treasure your memories.
Much, much love, Aunt Peggy
Although no words can really help to ease your loss, know that you all are in my thoughts. ” We miss Christian at AR”
I met Christian when he was waiting for his interview at AR. He immediately struck me as a `good’ man, although we did not meet too often my first impression never changed.
RIP Christian, you were taken too early.
This quote that I have always loved by Hunter S. Thompson reminds me of dear Christian:
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!”
He was such a joy and positive energy. He made memories instead of chasing dreams. He did it with Malia and his children by his side.
He became a fast and wonderful friend to Mike and I. The world lost a great one that day.
Hugs and Love to you Malia, Greta and Beck xoxo
A wonderful, loving, and fun family!!!! Chris, I am sending wishes to your soul for peace and joy as you smile upon Malia and your children! Up-The-Hill Amy

Not knowing Christian for a long time but deep impressed by his intelligence, sharp thinking and humorous…
A great man and a great friend to remember.
I met Chris a long time ago we were both young he was my first love and I have never forgotten him. He was always kind, and treated me like a lady. Even though the years have passed and he more than likely forgot me I have never forgotten him. Sorry to hear of his passing.
Dear Malia and children. We are very sorry about your loss. We have spent an inspiring and intense period together with Chris at Harvard Business School in 2003. We experienced him as a friend, colleague and sparring partner.
We send you friendship and support.

Chris was my big brother at Spangdahlem (1982-84). Alot of hard bombs/missles then as he coached me through some tough times. Well, here in Lafayette, La. 32 years later I finally locate him…. in an obit from 6 months ago. Whew!
Malia & children be ever strong. I.Y.A.A.Y.A.S. as we would say in the gasthaus.
Keep smiling, Phil Opper
