D. McKay Snow
D. McKay Snow passed away peacefully on Easter morning after 78 full years. He was a cherished husband, father and grandfather.
He served a distinguished career as an attorney and corporate counsel for Merrill Lynch for 25 years.
He lived in the Seattle area for most of his life surrounded by the mountains he loved to climb, including Mounts Rainier, Baker and Adams. He was a leader in his religious community, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and was respected for both the intellect and devotion he brought to his personal and professional life.
He was born in St. George, UT to Nelson and Marjorie Snow. He was the great, great grandson of Erastus Snow, who joined the first pioneer company to the Salt Lake Valley and founded Kingman and Snowflake, AZ. McKay graduated from Brigham Young University, where he met his spouse of 44 years Linda Potter Snow, and from University of Washington Law School. His wife Linda passed from breast cancer in 2005.
He is survived by their five children, Michael Snow, Laurie Smedley, Suzanne Forkey, Sherry Browning and Karen Snow; and by their 20 grandchildren. He is also survived by three siblings, Kathleen McClellan, Ruth Ann Arnett, and Kreston Snow.
Funeral services will be held at the LDS Bellevue South Stake Center — 15205 Southeast 28th Street, Bellevue, onMonday, April 4th 11:00 AM, with a viewing prior from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
