Fred was such a special man. We loved seeing him at the reunions. He was part of our “family” and we all looked forward to seeing him. We will miss Fred so much.
Love and our deepest sympathy to all of his family.
I will miss Fred for his wisdom, laughter, gardening tips and most of all, friendship. I first met Fred at the Bothell pool. Being the youngest member of the group, I felt at ease talking with Fred. He was the same age as my father so I was able to relate to a lot of what Fred had to say. Not too many men would have gone to the swimming pool wearing a wig and a lady’s swimsuit. Two Halloweens ago, Fred and I did and it was the most fun I have had in a long time. Fred came to visit me at home after several of my surgeries. I’m so sorry I was unable to see him one more time before he passed. Thanks for all the good fun Fred. Your Friend Forever, Marty.
We had the great privledge of meeting Fred at the Mountkake Terrace pool and to have him and his daughter to our home one time for garden talk . What a delightful gentleman he was – as soon as I entered the pool he would always come over and chat with me for a few minutes. – he will be greatly missed
Thank you all for your kind words. My dad was the best! I hope you all will come celebrate Fred on the 20th at the Green Acres Club House, noon til four. Some of the best times he had in his later years was with you pool friends.
Vicky, I was looking forward to meeting you again and sharing some memories about Fred with your family. My father had a stroke February 12th which requires one of us (2 siblings) to be with him 24/7…Please accept my condolences, Fred was a good friend whom I will miss and remember forever. Sincerely, Marty.
