Douglas Ralph Logsdon
Douglas Ralph Logsdon, age 62, passed peacefully after a long battle with cancer in his Sultan, Washington home on Thursday, August 20th.
Doug was born in Spokane, Washington on January 5th, 1953, the first son and second child of the late Robert Monroe and Nadine (Myers) Logsdon (now Bogart). He graduated from Shadle Park High 
School in 1971. He went on to earn a degree in Building Construction from the University of Washington in 1977. At UW, he met and married Colleen Smith on May 17th, 1980.
Doug worked in the construction industry for over 39 years, including 22 years as a Project Manager and Estimator at Sellen Construction. He was known as an exceptionally hard worker, and to many, the friendliest person ever. Doug was also known for his service to others. He was on the board at his church, hosted a monthly breakfast, and ran the sound for church services. He was also known for his love of sports, and to many was the most avid Husky fan people have ever known. If you asked Doug about his priorities, he would put Jesus first, serving others second, and sports 
third.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Colleen, son Andrew (Kristin), and daughter Sarah, granddaughters Abigail and Kennedie, mother Nadine, brother Dean (DeeDee), sisters Lois Winters (Dick), Sue, and Betty Ishii (Tom), as well as six nieces, and two nephews.
Doug’s memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, September 5th, 2015 at 3pm, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 14118 Chain Lake Road in Monroe. Pastor Mac Taylor of Monroe Covenant Chruch is officiating.
Thank you Doug for being an amazing man, an amazing servant of God, and having a positive impact on everyone. We are all lucky to have had you in our lives, no matter the capacity. We love you and will miss you forever.

Andrew- sorry to hear of your loss. Your father sounded like a great man!
I am so sorry for your families loss. I remember marching bands days and Doug was one of the faithful band parents! He was a “dad” to a lot of us Sultan kids. The best part is he BEAT cancer! That cancer is dead now, but he is alive with Jesus! And we will all be reunited again soon!
Our deepest condolences and prayers to the family. He will be greatly missed. He is now with his father and watching over us all.

I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing this gentleman, but he sounds like such an inspirational, respectable and great man. I would have been proud to call my friend. God Bless all that his passing had touched. You were truly blessed people.
“Well-done, good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord.” Doug Logsdon was one of the “good men”, and I had the privilege of knowing him. He deeply loved and cared for his bride, Colleen. He fiercely loved his two children, Andrew and Sarah, and he encouraged and supported them in their endeavors. He delighted in and cherished every interaction with his two adorable granddaughters, Abbie and Kenna. He was the ultimate problem-solver and he could always find that silver lining amidst any cloud! He fought the good fight and he was a brave soldier through his battle. He always ended his emails with a reminder to us all: “Remember that Jesus loves you.” We will do so, faithful one and we will take comfort in knowing that you are not “gone”… you just changed your address & you are awaiting our arrival!
Known Doug and family as wonderful neighbors, our sympathies go out to all of the family.
Doug will be dearly missed.
The good Lord called you home because your journey here on earth was complete. Our hearts are left heavy but we rejoice because we know you are in a better place. May the Lord comfort those still here Because we will be forever thinking of you. You will be missed!
I knew Doug from his days at McMahon Hall, a UW dormitory. I never once saw him behave inconsiderately toward anyone. His courtesy and optimism spread joy and love, and thus it is no mere formality to say: he will be missed, and his memory will be for a blessing.
