Ida Flores Alladen

Ida (Aida) Flores Alladen: 12/27/1923-05/15/2015

Born in Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija, Philippines to Josefa Carrasco Flores and Segismundo Flores.

Aida grew up helping her mother take care of one older brother Efren Flores,  one younger sister Eleanor (Ely) Flores Marquez, and 4 younger brothers – Ricardo (Carding) Flores, Virgilio (Virgil) Flores, Hernando (Nanding) Flores  and Manuel (Manny) Flores.  

She graduated at the top of her class to become an elementary school teacher in Cuyapo.  In the early 1960’s she planned a trip with one of her best friends, Lisa Velasco and ventured off to the United States in Northern California where they both ended up meeting and marrying their husbands. In turn, their trip became their new permanent home of residence.  February of 1962 Dinah was born in Porterville, CA and in November of 1964 Maryann Myriam was born in Tahoe Valley, CA.

In the summer of 1966 Aida and her loving husband Sam Alladen decided moved the family to Seattle, WA where they took residence on Queen Anne hill.  After Sam’s passing of April 1974 – Aida dedicated her time fully to her daughters, moved a couple more time but stayed on Queen Anne hill ever since.  

Aida was a very loving, kind, generous and dedicated wife, mother, sister, cousin, auntie and the best friend anyone could ever hope for.  Aida was loved by many and she loved and cared for everyone she ever crossed paths with.  She stayed as active as possible – she loved to exercise, dance, sing and take care of the garden.

Aida had a heart of gold – always happy, always smiling and always putting everyone else’s needs before herself.   She is greatly loved and missed, and will never be forgotten.

Aida is survived by 2 loving daughters – Dinah Devera Alladen and Maryann Myriam Flores Alladen (both residing in Seattle, WA) and her youngest brother Manuel (Manny) Flores who resides in Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija, Philippines.  

We will be having a Memorial / Celebration of Aida’s Life in the afternoon of Saturday, June 20th at 1p to be held at The Belltown Community Center located in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle.
