Paul Andrew Jackson left this world unexpectedly on February 26th, 2015. He was 24 years old. He left behind his loving parents Janet Truselo, Robert Jackson, along with Ray Murphy and Paul’s beloved brother, David; as well as the many family members and friends who cherished him.
Paul was a truly kind and thoughtful young man with a sense of humor that he shared often and easily.
He was educated in Kirkland area schools including Ben Franklin, Rose Hill Junior High, Stella Schola, Lake Washington HS, and eventually, Bellevue College.
During these years, he took part in youth sports such as T- Ball, slow pitch softball, and soccer. He was a proud member of the “Wildcats” and later, the “Blackhawks” soccer clubs. Paul also participated in math competitions, chess club, and FBLA, a business group for students.
He was a gifted and passionate musician who loved to play the piano and the drums.
Paul loved an intellectual challenge and took pride in mastering any complicated problem.
His talent at chess took him all over King County for scholastic competitions, and eventually to Portland, Tucson, Louisville, and Kansas City where he competed, and placed, in national-level Championship Chess tournaments attended by the top student players in the US.
He will be forever missed and loved for always by all those whose lives he touched. We love you, Paul.
“Actually, we never really lose the ones we love. They are as close as your mind and your heart. We may have lost the physical part of them, but the essence of life and the gift of love is ours forever….”

Paul, we love you so very very much. It’s been really hard to accept that you are no longer here with us on earth. The memories we have of you are all so special – a bright, kind, thoughtful and good hearted person with a smile that made us feel special whenever we were together. We know you are now at peace in the arms of God and that other family members who left before you are holding you now when we can’t, which is comforting. We also know that if we reach out to help others, we will see you again one day, so we will do a better job of that in your loving memory. Your Auntie Anne and Uncle Steve
We love you so much Paul and are so sorry we didn’t get to tell you that more often. You are dearly missed here on earth and our family just isn’t the same without. We miss you and love you!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. May God’s peace & love shower you with comfort & strength at this difficult time. In deepest sympathy.
Paul, you are so incredibly missed and loved by all who were lucky enough to know you. Your life will be remembered and celebrated, always. The space you occupy in our hearts will continue to grow, radiate and shine each and every day. The sun rising and setting, the force of lightning, the quiet of rain falling on leaves and the sound of laughter will all remind us of you, and those no longer here on this earthly place who we love so. I say Godspeed to you, cousin, but know you are still here with us, always.
My Dear Paul,
I will always remember your smile in my classroom. You were curious and very smart. You enjoyed learning new things, exploring, and you had a great sense of humor! I loved that shy smile and little gleam in your eye when you figured out a math problem! You were kind, easy-going, and fun to be around. I will cherish your memory and I know that you are safe, happy, and loved in Heaven.
Love,
Mrs. Tennis
Beloved Grandson Paul;
The little grins and shy smiles of your childhood are in our hearts and memories. “God be with you ’til we meet again …”
Grannie & PaPa
I will always remember playing with you and David when we were little, the three of us under Grannie’s dining room table. It’s been too long to remember what imaginary game we were playing, but your smile is the memory I will keep of you forever. I miss you and that smile.
“I am always saddened by the death of a good person. It is from this sadness that a feeling of gratitude emerges. I feel honored to have known them and blessed that their passing serves as a reminder to me that my time on this beautiful earth is limited and that I should seize the opportunity I have to forgive, share, explore, and love. I can think of no greater way to honor the deceased than to live this way.”
My beloved Paul,
There’s not a day, not a minute, not a second that goes by that I don’t think of you and wish like crazy that you were here at home.
I love you, my son.
Paul,
You will always be remembered and loved forever….
I love you, my son
Paul, you are forever and always in my heart. Today is your birthday, but every single day is one that I am reminded of my kind, beautiful son….
“If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever….”
