So sad to hear of Barb’s passing. I’ll not forget Barb — her humor, her willingness to lend a hand whenever needed, her indefatigable energy, and her superb “people” skills. She was loved by all in the boating industry in the Northwest, and will be sorely missed.
I am so sorry for your loss. Praying that God will give you peace in your quiet moments and comfort to replace your grief. Let the love of family and friends help you during this difficult time. May cherished memories of Barbara warm your heart and bring a smile to your face. Please find comfort in the Bible’s promise that soon sickness and death will be no more. Revelation 21:4 promises, “And He (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and Death Will Be No More, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain, be anymore…” With deepest sympathy.
Sorry to hear of Barb’s passing, but she’s not gone…she has just changed worlds and is on another voyage! We will always remember her wonderful smile and her dry sense of humor. She was an outstanding and caring person…a shinning jewel in the Northwest boating industry.
So long Barbara, thanks for all the cookies, say “Hi” to Joe for me.

We lost Barbara, but the world was fortunate to have this remarkable woman in it. From the time she was a teenager, she was lighting my path, eagerly following her to California and into my career there. I was so grateful for the chance to visit her this pass Fall. She showed courage i thought not possible for someone who enjoyed life so much. Her life touched all the grace notes….
I was one of Barbara’s first clients when she and her partners opened Boat Scope on Westlake Ave. My first reaction upon meeting her was, Man what a hard case she is. Boy was I ever wrong. She was a real lady and we became the best of friends over the years.
I will miss her greatly. Have a great voyage Barbara. I hope we meet again someday, just not too soon.
I was surprised to see someone the same age as me, and with the same surname listed in the Seattle Times obits! I’ve resided in King County since 1975 but never knew of her. Not only that, I notice she once lived in Hermosa Beach, California. I was born in Hermosa Beach, California! I am descended from Lipperts who first immigrated to western New York – Buffalo, Allegany and Olean. I’m aware of only one Lippert who migrated for a time to Ohio, a great-uncle named George Lippert, born 1878.
Barbara you were strong, kind, funny, and you left us way too soon. Rest in piece my friend!
Barbara, I just heard of your passing from Bob & Arline
Berg. I was so sad to hear the news…..it’s way too soon, Barb. I’ll always remember the fun times we always had together. Enjoy the current voyage you’re on. We’ll meet again, my friend!
