Beverly Ann Underland

Beverly Ann Underland
Beverly Ann Underland was born on Nov. 20, 1948, in Regent, North Dakota, to Selmer Underland and Lucille Schmaltz.
She began her working career as a beautician, later earned a bachelor’s degree from Central Washington University and moved into administrative and human resources positions at Boeing and Access Laser.
In addition to her work, Beverly was creative and enjoyed working with her hands—beading, crocheting, sewing, crafting and upholstering—as well as camping, gardening, cooking, playing games, and spending time with friends and family.
Faith was a source of strength, meaning, and connection throughout her life. Originally a member of St. Luke’s, she was a devoted member of St. Pius X for more than 50 years, serving in several organizations, including the Ladies Guild, Catholic Daughters, and the Sunday School program. She especially loved singing in the choir.
Surrounded by loved ones, Beverly passed away on December 22, 2025, in Edmonds after a battle with a rare form of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma.
Throughout her illness, Beverly and her family were deeply supported by loved ones, her church community, and the compassionate doctors, nurses, and hospital staff who cared for her. The family remains profoundly grateful for the love, kindness, and prayers extended to them during this time.
She is remembered by her children, Rose Nakagawa (Damon; children Alexandra, Ella), Daniel Sullivan (Debra; children Mariana, Fara, Gemma, Beatriz, Pio, Paschal, Basil, Blaise, Eulalia, Declan) and Marie Daul (Lucas; children Lacy, Morgan, Eleanor, Maddox); her siblings, William (Mary), Neal Underland (Noel), Darlene Sellikan (Tom), Donna Underland
and Samuel Underland (Ann); and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, William Underland; her son, Robert Thompson; and her grandchild, Lilith Ferguson.
A Memorial Mass was held for her at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Thursday, January 22 and Rite of Committal Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at Holyrood Cemetery.
