Mary Ann Boll

Molly Boll and grandchildren
“Molly” Mary Ann Boll passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on December 24, 2025.
Born in Seattle, WA to Paul and Eleanor Malone on August 1, 1942. Molly was the eldest of their five children.
Molly lived a rich life, involved in supporting and volunteering for numerous charities and organizations. Even in her later years when her health had declined that didn’t stop her from playing an active role in organizations that helped the less fortunate, supporting education, and promoting the power of faith and prayer. Molly led several successful initiatives that she started herself from the ground up through her tenaciousness and passion to help others. Among these included the Diabetes Wellness Group which was a nonprofit that provided support and diabetes education to those who were newly diagnosed with diabetes and most recently, Prayer Warriors which mission was to spread the awareness in the power of prayer. Molly was quite active on two University of Washington Medicine Boards including the Kidney Research Institute and a board that led the creation of educational materials for the hospital. She held a large space in her heart for those who were experiencing hardship. Her desire to help those struggling led to spearheading numerous foods drives in collaboration with Hopelink, one of which grew to involving eight Redmond Ridge Communities. She also gathered countless hygiene supplies through donations she requested that were given to youth experiencing homelessness. Molly remained a devout Catholic throughout her life working as Eucharistic Minister for Evergreen hospital patients, bringing comfort and faith to many.
When she wasn’t coming up with new ways to serve her community, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing board games, and listening to music- especially the Three Tenors.
Molly is survived by her only child, Michelle Boll; her former spouse, James Boll; her two granddaughters, Morgan and Imogen Britt; brothers: Jim and John Malone, along with other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
A mass celebrating her life will be held at the St. Jude’s Church in Redmond, WA on March 4th at 11:00 am, followed by a reception in the church’s reception area. In lieu of flowers, Molly would have wanted her friends and family to honor her by completing a kind gesture for someone who is in need. As she was once quoted in an article put out by the Redmond Reporter in 2012, “It’s an amazing feeling to be able to help others”.

I had the honor of meeting Molly through all her volunteer work at both St. Jude Catholic Church in Redmond & the greater community. She was a student in the Stephen Ministry class I taught, Molly was the happiest when she was helping others. Later when she needed help herself, I was able to give back to her. She taught me how to help others, even when a disability prevents you from leaving your house. What I will remember & cherish most is her smile, laughter, determination, generosity, & mantra: “When you help others, you forget about all your own problems!”
Dearest Molly I’m so sorry to hear that I missed your last days. I could have been praying for you and visiting with you.
You will definitely be missed by me and by a great many people!
You were a good friend. Until we meet again! With love , Melinda
Both Carl and I remember our times together , helping her with various tasks including Carl working on her computer with her to get it running properly.
