Curtis Ray Gandini.

Curtis Ray Gandini (Curt), age 68, passed away on September 10, 2025.

Curt was the son of Pete Gandini and the late Cheryl Gandini, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his father, Pete Gandini, and his longtime partner, Jeanette Gagnon.

Curt proudly served as a medic in the United States Army, an experience that shaped the course of his professional life. Following his service, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington in pathology. He went on to find his niche working in veterinary laboratories, where he devoted over 30 years to the field of hematology. At the time of his passing, Curt was working toward retirement, a milestone he approached with his usual precision and independence.

Curt enjoyed a full and active childhood, spending his time boating, skiing—both water and snow—dirt biking, and embracing adventure. As a teenager in the late 1960s and early 1970s, he developed a deep love for music and muscle cars. By ninth grade, Curt had taught himself to play the guitar and started a band, beginning a lifelong passion for music that stayed with him always.

A devoted Seattle Seahawks and University of Washington Huskies fan, Curt followed his teams with loyalty and pride. A proud, private, and meticulous man, he lived life on his own terms. He valued solitude, craftsmanship, and the personal sanctuary he created for himself. He loved music, fast cars, and a life built with intention and care.

Curtis Ray Gandini left us far too soon and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Rock on, Curt.
