Jerry Edward Rolstad, 78, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the EvergreenHealth Home Health & Hospice Care Facility in Kirkland, Washington. He was born in Renton, Washington on August 8, 1947 to the late Allen and Katherine Rolstad.
Jerry grew up with a love of cars and the outdoors, fishing and hunting from a very young age. He joined the Army and became a special forces heavy equipment operator. Then he worked more than 40 years for the City of Seattle, taking great pride in his work, especially when he was promoted to heavy equipment operator. For many years he played in a softball league. He also bowled in several leagues, achieving a perfect 300 game. Jerry always had multiple projects going on including canes for veterans, family and friends, even keeping a few in his vehicle to give strangers he thought could use them.
Jerry met his wife, Dena, while racing his “Heavy Chevy” at SIR in Kent. They married on June 2, 1974. He was the rock of the family while they raised three girls. He is survived by his wife Dena, their three children, Heidi (Curt) Rowland, Angie Baker and Kelli Rolstad as well as their three grandchildren, Tatum Rolstad, Isabel and Laine Baker.
Celebration of Life will be held at The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 8220 South 126th Seattle WA 98178 on Saturday, October 11th from 2:00-4:00 pm.
