Janice Eileen Owyen

September 15, 1959  –  June 15, 2025

Janice Eileen Owyen, was born on September 15th, 1959 to Lucille Nadine (Hager) Owyen and Elvin Owyen.

She was an artistic woman and won a contest for writing a song in 1985 that was published in the newspaper.

She was a beautiful soul who had many adventures in her life. She was a very loving woman and was excellent with animals, especially cats. She was very bright and some would even call her eccentric and adored. She was often seen wearing bright outfits with matching accessories and the best part, a smile.

In 1988 she had a daughter and went on to become an absolutely beloved Grandmother of four.

On June 15th 2025 she passed away in Seattle, Washington to MRSA pneumonia and is survived by her three siblings, Fred Owyen, Scott Owyen and Julie (Owyen) Morris, her daughter Heidi Owyen Graves and her four grandchildren; Javailah, Peirson, Patience and Mavis.

She is sorely missed and will be forever loved.  She will have a Celebration of Life held August 9th, 2025 in Kenmore, Washington.

Janice was a very dear friend,
and a loving, kind, gentle person. She also had a courageous, warrior spirit. She fought and beat breast cancer, keeping a positive attitude through it all.
I have many fond memories of long heart to heart talks, shared meals and fun times. On our last visit, in May, we went out to the Snoqualamie casino.
We also shared several years in recovery, which is where we met, at a midnight meeting. Janice was a very fun supportive friend🧡 She was also a loving mother and adored her grandchildren.
    She will be sorely missed.
