Brenda F. Smith
Brenda Frances (Towns) Smith, wife, mom, sister, and friend, age 72, left this world to be reunited with her husband and son and family in heaven on February 5, 2021 at Valley Medical Center in Renton, Washington.
Brenda was born on June 17, 1948 at King County Hospital in Seattle, Washington to Jack and Verla Towns and was a sister to Sharon and John. She grew up in the Skykomish area where she met and married her sweetheart, Dan Smith, on June 24, 1965. They bought a home in Lynnwood, Washington and raised their five children and many, many animals as Brenda had a caring heart for creatures both great and small. She received her high school diploma and went on to become a certified nursing assistant. She remained in Lynnwood until the passing of her husband and then relocated to Yakima, Washington.
Among her many accomplishments, she was a gifted painter, crafter, archivist, dancer, and singer. She loved to read her Bible and complete crossword puzzles. She had a wonderful sense of humor and would often have friends and family laughing until they cried or their stomachs hurt. She always had a way to laugh through even the hardest of times and comfort others through tears.
Her passing is mourned by her surviving family: Debra and Mike Johns, Bryce Martinez and his children Kaia and Matthew, Bryanna Martinez and her daughter Adison, Michelle Raymond and Mark Smith, Ashley Raymond and her son Evan, Mitch and Kim Smith, and Christina and Josh Miles and their son Antonio Federighi.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dan; her mom, Verla; her dad, Jack; her brother, John; her sister, Sharon; her son, Michael.
A private funeral service will be held at Acacia Memorial Park & Funeral Home on Saturday February 13, 2021 at noon.

Praying for the family during this time. May the Lord comfort you during this time. I enjoyed being her mail friend. Daline
What a lady! She was so special. We would laugh and spend time talking about our childhood days and then say those were the good old days. Now she is in Heaven a new and healthy body. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family. She will surely be missed❤️.
