Christine (Chris) Elaine Taylor passed away suddenly at her home in Sammamish, Washington, January 4, 2021 at the age of 56 from heart failure.

Born December 21, 1964 in Seattle, Washington to Melanie and William Burton, Chris and her brother Eric were raised in Bellevue. She attended Highland Junior High and graduated from Interlake High School in 1983. Chris went on to graduate with an ADN in nursing in 1990 and worked at Overlake Hospital for over 13 years where she cared for cancer and critical cardiac patients. Following her time as a nurse, Chris began a successful career in business development and sales.

Chris cherished being surrounded by her family and friends. Chris and her loving husband Kelly had been together since 1982 and were married in 1992. Together, they shared a beautiful life in Sammamish, Washington and had 2 daughters, Miranda Jane Taylor (26) and Abigail Rose Taylor (21), who were the lights of her life. She spent most of her free time coaching their ski, soccer, lacrosse, and cheer teams and volunteering in their schools and other extracurricular activities. Chris was passionate about caring for the family’s three wiener dogs in addition to a plethora of hummingbirds who resided in their backyard. Chris was also an avid reader, amazing chef, and a devout Seattle sports fan.

Everyone who knew Chris knew she had a contagious laugh and that her smile could light up a room. Her presence in the Sammamish community will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Chris is survived by her husband, Kelly Taylor, her daughters Miranda and Abby Taylor, her brother Eric Burton, and her mother Melanie Burton.

Chris is preceded in death by her father William Burton.

Remembrances can be made to the American Heart Association. A celebration of life will be planned for this coming summer.
