Gary Richard Shupe
Gary Richard Shupe passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2018 in Kenmore Washington. He was born on January 29, 1955 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The family moved to Santa Barbara California in October of 1968. Gary graduated from San Marcos High School in 1973 and remained in the Santa Barbara area until he moved to Washington in 2000.
Gary worked for 40 years as a machinist in Goleta and Washington State, where he worked in the aerospace industry.
He loved wood working and showed his creations at several local art shows and on his website. He started a small business that he hoped to expand in retirement. His other hobbies included playing pickle ball, working and maintaining his park-like back yard and traveling with his wife and friends.
Gary is survived by his wife and best friend, Barb, brothers Andrew David Shupe II of Goleta, Robert Marshall Shupe (Jocelyn) of Carpentaria and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for family and friends to honor Gary, share stories and memories will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Northshore Senior Health and Wellness Center, 10212 E. Riverside Drive.
