Joan Elizabeth Kuehn of Woodinville, WA, passed away on July 3, 2018, surrounded by her family after a brief illness. She was 65.
Born on September 11th, 1952, in San Francisco, CA Joan Elizabeth Herzog, attended Cubberly High School in Palo Alto, CA. She then attended San Francisco State where she attained her Nursing degree. She worked as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse for over 35 years, most of her time working at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland, WA. She touched so many lives while she worked and was constantly running into the families of the babies she took care of and they would thank her again for the care she gave their children.
Joan was also known for her love of Disneyland, especially Mickey Mouse. She had a couple rooms in her house dedicated to Disney & Mickey. She also loved gardening, taking care of her plants and decorating her planting beds with figurines many of which were Disney of course. After gardening, she loved to go get her nails done!
She was seen as a very giving person that would put others needs ahead of hers. She was known for her positive nature and had an abundance of love for her friends and family. Holidays were her favorite, always decorating the house for her kids and grandkids and cooking a big meal for everyone to gather around.
Joan will be dearly missed by her family and friends and we know that we have an angel above us, with us always.
