James John Hale
James John Hale passed suddenly, but peacefully on May 31, 2018 in SeaTac, Washington. He was born in Hammond, Indiana on January 2, 1956 to his parents James and Irene Hale, who proceed him in death. James is also proceeded in death by his sisters Sand McFadden and Sue Hale. He is survived by his brother Ken Hale of Aberdeen, WA. He earned a bachelor degree and worked in different professions, such as the logging and computer industries and most recently, repairing medical devices and the physically disabled before retiring.
James was married to the love of his life, Laura of Lynnwood, WA, for 23 years and is survived by his children: Darwin “Bo” Walter (Tabatha), Tristan Walter (Lacey), Nicole Koval (Yuriy), Nathan Walter (Lauren), Ashley Hale and Zackary Hale. He was the proud grandfather of Darwin “Buddy”, Devlin, Avery, Benjamin, Ellie, Mara and soon to arrive Koval granddaughter.
James was raised in Aberdeen, WA where he gained a love of everything outdoors. His greatest source of joy and happiness in life was his wife, children and grandchildren. While raising their children, James and Laura took them on many camping adventures to places throughout the United States including Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Washington. As their children grew into adulthood, he and Laura made a point of planning a special trip for each child and their significant other upon their 21st birthday. These are among some of the fondest memories his children will treasure forever.
James was loved by all who knew him. He often spent time and holidays with his wife, children and extended family. He was one heck of an “Old Hell” and “Crazy Canasta” card player and will be remembered fondly for his good-natured sense of competition and ribbing.
James will be cremated and inurned by his family. A private viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 2 PM to 8 PM at Barton Family Funeral Service located at 14000 Aurora Ave N in Seattle, Washington.
