Michael David Cimino
Mike passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on May 3rd, 2018, due to complications with dementia. Mike was born in Argyll, Scotland on October 8th, 1939 and moved to Seattle, via Sydney Australia, where he earned his under graduate degree in Engineering from the UW, and later his Masters of Engineering from Seattle University. He married Celine Cimino (nee Patricelli) in 1963, and moved the family to Mercer Island in the early 70’s, where he and Celine raised two sons (Michael and Robert). He worked for Boeing for over 30 years, retiring in 1998 as an Executive Manager in the Aerospace division. Mike will be remembered for his love of family, food, fishing, not to mention being tough as nails, smart as a whip and easy like Sunday morning. Mike will be remembered in the sound of birdsong and the smell of salt water, by his loving, extended family and close friends. Mike was preceded in death by his father Frances, mother Georgina and brother Noel. He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years – Celine, two son’s, Michael (52) and Robert (50), daughter in-laws – Mary-Clara and Michelle, his beloved grandchildren – Clara (19), Emma (16), Olivia (13) and Michael (11), as well as his siblings – Fiona, Frances, Nigel and Rebecca.
A very special thank you to Anica and Cory Pancea at the Newport Hills Villa for their 5 years of loving care of Mike
Mike was loved by all and his laugh and twinkle in his eye will be sorely missed; it brings us all happiness to know he is now in heaven, well again!

I’ve only just now learned of his passing. My heart goes out to his loving family during these first holidays without him. He was such a beautiful and loving man.
