Joan Anderson
Joan was born September 19, 1950 in Seattle to Sam and Edna Nishitani and died November 22, 2017 in Kirkland. After graduating from Roosevelt High School in Seattle, she went to Washington State University and obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree. She married Robert Anderson in 1973 and traveled several places in the world with the military. Following their divorce in 1986 she remained in the Kirkland area and spent many years working customer service for Nintendo of America in Redmond. She is survived by her sister Ellen (John) Simons, nephews Sam and John, nieces Angela and Lisa (Bart) Coffman as well as aunts and numerous cousins and friends.
A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday May 15, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Barton Family Funeral Service, North Park Business Center, 11630 Slater Ave NE, Suite 1A, Kirkland WA 98034.

We were saddened to just hear of Joans passing. On several occasions (and as young children) my brother, Joans sister and I would play when our parents were visiting. Once the shyness passed, we had a good time.
