Jerry Watkins

Jerry L. Watkins passed away peacefully October 30, 2017 at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, WA after a four and a half year battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

He was born February 26th, 1946 in Brady, TX to Raymond Horace and Myrtle Mae Watkins.

Jerry was married to Linda Schnee in Seattle, WA. August 15,1965 and shortly thereafter joined the Army. He spent 15 months of his 3 year service in Korea and was honorably discharged in 1969.

Shortly after he got out of the Army he and Linda started their family with their oldest son Tramain, born in 1969, then Trevor in 1971, and Tanya in 1973.

Jerry was hired by the US Postal Service in 1970 and worked there as a clerk at the Main Terminal Annex for 41 years until his retirement May 2, 2011.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Horace Raymond and Rodney. He is survived by his wife Linda, his three children Tramain, Trevor, and Tanya, their spouses and four grandchildren, his twin brother Terry, his younger brothers Shane & Johnny, and his only sister Mary Kay.

Jerry is now at home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whom he served for over 40 years of his life. Praise God he is now disease free and at peace forever.

A private, military graveside service will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery Wednesday November 8th. All are welcome to attend his Memorial Service to be held at Shoreline Community Church located at 125 NE 185th St, Shoreline, WA 98155 at 10am November 9th, 2017. A reception will follow.
