Marie Therese “Terry” Werlaman Pero
May 28, 2017
On this beautiful sunny day our beloved Terry passed into God’s loving arms. It was her 73rd anniversary of her 10th birthday. My wife Sandra and I were with her in her final moments. In spite of her situation, she left this earthly plane with a smile on her face. As she requested of us, we took her to Glacier Point on June 17 so she could rest in eternity with her most beloved husband Rod.
Terry loved Rod above all others. She loved to travel. She was an epicurean. She had a wicked sense of humor. She loved to entertain. She was loved by everyone who knew her. She said it straight. And she loved her corgies and her home. Julia and Jacques were her heroes.
Finally, to all those she knew, she asked me to say goodbye to you. She said in time she will see all of you again for good food, good travels, and great companionship. Cheers!!
She will be missed but always in our hearts.

I am the middle child of one of Terry’s dearest childhood friends, Marietta Haebler. I always knew her as my Aunt Terry. She was one of the most delightful people I have ever known, and it was always a great pleasure to sit at her table. The recipe for Turkey Tetrazinni will go down in history.
I just found out about her passing. The world is a sadder place without her. I hope she and Mare are up to their old tricks once again.
