    To Tom’s Family and Friends-

I’m Dale Hoggins form Edmonds, WA.

I noticed Tom’s obituary in the Seattle Times. I think Tom and I were classmates in Yakima before I moved away in 1946.

The Tom I remember was a “swell” guy. Swell was the “hip” word of our era. He was a standout guy; a “jokester”. He always had a big smile!

I’m not sure why I have remembered him since I have not seen him for 71 years. Clearly he was a memorable individual.

I’m not surprised to learn he had a fine arts degree. This seems to fit my memory of him.

In my autograph book, he described himself as a “brilliant kid”. His penmanship was “scrawly”.

I smile as I remember him, so he must have been OK!

May your memories bring smiles to your faces, warm your hearts, ease your pain, and give you comfort.

    Go, Yakima Pirates!
