Michael McCourt
Loving father and cherished husband, Michael Laurence McCourt (age 61) passed away on February 12, 2017 in Everett. He was an anchor that kept us together; always putting the well being of others before his own. His warmth and his humor will be missed.
Mike was born on October 26, 1955 in Mason City, Iowa. He moved to Anchorage, Alaska in 1969 where he graduated from West Anchorage High School in 1973. From 1976 to 1983, he proudly served in the United States Army as a military policeman with the 92nd MP Company. In 1991, he moved to Lake Stevens, Washington, where he was often heard saying he loved working in construction – building homes for others. From 2009 to recent, he enjoyed working as a Transit Supervisor.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria, his brother, Patrick McCourt of Lake Stevens, Washington, and sisters – Patricia Gaare of Brownville, Texas and Sandra Stoner of Wasilla, Alaska; his children, Jason, Mike, Chris, Tara, Megan and Kyle; his grandchildren Nathan, William, Jack and Kylie: along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Michael was proceeded in death by his parents, Donald Jolly and Grace McCourt.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:30pm to 2:30pm at Legion Hall, Legion Memorial Park, 145 Alverson Blvd, Everett, WA on Sunday, February 19, 2017.
