Dr. Allen J. Boeker

Dr. Allen J. Boeker, age 78, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016, from cancer, at Swedish Hospital in Issaquah Washington.

He was born on 1/9/38 in Jackson Wisconsin to Allen E. and Edna Boeker, grew up in rural Wisconsin, worked his way through the University of Wisconsin undergrad and medical school and married Susan in his last year of medical school.

After 2 years in the Army, he did a Radiology residency at the University of Washington and stayed in the Seattle area, practicing medicine up to the end.

He loved family, planning things for his kids & grandkids to do & learn, biking, listening 24/7 to NPR, watching Channel 9, reading newspapers &magazines, gardening, planting tomatoes. He had a quiet, reflective personality and a love for the Lord.

He is survived by his wife, Susan, four children Jeff (Jessie), Mark (Peggy), Tracy (Steve), Melanie (Matt), 6 grandchildren, his sisters, Jeanne and Elaine and 4 nieces and 2 nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, June 26, 6:30 pm at Newport Covenant Church, 12800 Coal Creek Pkwy SE, Bellevue WA.
