Kevin Eric Peterson
Kevin Eric Peterson, age 59, born in Bremerton, WA on May 24 1956 died unexpectedly from natural causes on February 5, 2016. Loving son, brother, and uncle was found deceased at his U.W. neighborhood apartment. He was a graduate of Nathan Hale High School, class on 1975 and completed an AA degree from Seattle Central Community College. Kevin was a gentle soul, an artist and avid reader and film buff. Listening to music of many genres was a favorite past-time.
He is survived and greatly missed by father Daniel E. Peterson of Seattle, brother Bret Peterson of Seattle, sister Siri Shapiro, her husband Tony Shapiro of Edmonds, nieces Chelsea Schlotter of Hawthorne, CA, Rachel Shapiro of Seattle, nephews Daniel Shapiro and Nate Shapiro of Edmonds. He was preceded in death by his brother Scott Peterson June 14, 1975, and mother, Sharon L. Peterson November 29, 2011.
Kevin was employed at The Villa Academy, a K-8 school, as a chef’s assistant and gatekeeper. The school considered him like a family and valued his hard work. He enjoyed his job and the many students and staff members he encountered every day.
A celebration and remembrance of his life was held in Edmonds on March 5, 2016. Any gifts or donations may be made to Villa Academy at 5001 NE 50th St., Seattle, WA 98105 in lieu of flowers.

Sorry to hear of his passing, as he was a childhood friend. My best friend growing up in Federal Way. Although I lost contact in my 30s, I looked for him again later in life, but could never find what had become of him.
