Mark Ross Taylor
Mark Ross Taylor was born on April 18, 1967 and passed peacefully in his sleep on May 6, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his parents Ross & Sonja Taylor and his brother David along with aunts, uncles and cousins.
Growing up, Mark was an avid sailor and enjoyed many hours navigating the watersthroughout the Pacific NW. It was truly his first passion and of course he always wanted to captain the boat so he could learn more.
His next passion was computers. His love of computers and programming started at an early age and followed him throughout his life. It started with his curiosity and quest to solve problems. Equipped with the right tools, Mark was willing to tackle any issue that needed an answer and always found one. This was the cornerstone of his professional life.
During his junior year of high school, Mark was an exchange student in Germany. He spent 6 months with his host family learning about the culture, people and politics. The entire experience expanded his perspectives of the world.
As Mark turned 18 he received his Eagle Scout award, another achievement which helped shape the person he was to become.
Mark graduated from Juanita High School and went on to Claremont McKenna College where he earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Management Information Systems. He thoroughly embraced all the activities that college has to offer and he made many lifelong friends. Mark began his career in the IT world in Kirkland and held positions with numerous companies including Continental, Unigard, Photoworks and most recently Moneytree Inc.where he was the Chief Technologist.
Mark and Nancy Hays, the love of his life, have been together for 24 years. Together they raised Tug, Tootie, Boo Boo, Bubba & Annie, their family of English Bulldogs.
Services for Mark Taylor will be Saturday, May 9th at the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Kirkland, Washington @ 1:30pm. The service will be conducted by Pastor Michael Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, feel free to make donations to Seattle Humane Society located at 13212 SE Eastgate Way, Bellevue, WA 98005

All my love and thoughts are with you Nancy. I am here if you need anything.
I just learned of Marks passing. I was a neighborhood contemporary a few years older. I remember him as a nice young man with a passion for technology. Slightly later in life I bumped into him on a hard wire expansion project at a company in Park Place, where he must have been the IT director. It was good to reconnect with him again albeit briefly. That was the last time I saw him. So sorry for your loss. My brothers and I remember him fondly.
Sincerely,
Steve Wahlquist
