Ronald Nugent Groves
Ron Groves of Kirkland, WA passed away on November 11, 2014, at age 63 due to cardiac arrest. Ron was born April 18, 1951, at Travis Air Force Base in California. He served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam and Cambodia. After an honorable discharge, he attended the University of Alaska, Anchorage. Ron was with Dayco Automotive for 28 years beginning in 1976. In 2008, he joined O’Reilly Auto Parts.
Ron was an avid reader, played the guitar and enjoyed a wide variety of music, liked to golf, and enjoyed gourmet cooking and grilling for friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Barbara; mother, Bernadine Bowen (Melbourne, FL), sisters Diane Odom (Palm Bay, FL), Debbie Dominguez (Malden, MA) and Vicki (Curtis) Barker (Bellevue, ID); in-law’s Patricia and John Kassner (Round Lake Heights, IL), Nicholas and Mary Margaret Luchitz (Canton, OH), Deborah and Ralph Chaney (Bedford, TX); 5 nieces and 4 nephews.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be celebrated at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vietnam Veterans of America or a favorite charity of the donor’s choosing.

Barbara. I was so sorry to learn of Ron’s passing. I know this holiday season is and will be very hard for you. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I know that the loving memories you have of Ron will keep you comforted. Please keep your family and friends close during this time.
