Derek was a kiddo that we loved from elementary on. He was a regular staple in our house, and we often went without pickles because of him. A wonderful trade off in my mind as his smile was better than any old pickle. This boy/man was a joy, and will be truly missed. God Bless the family with peace, and comfort in the days ahead. You are all truly a gift to those who know you, and we will never be the same because of you.
