Stephen John Chipchosky

Stephen John Chipchosky, known as “Pete” to his family and friends, passed away at home on December 5, 2013 after a battle with cancer.

Pete was born June 18, 1945 in Central City, PA to parents Andrew J and Stella (Muzia) Chipchosky.  He was one of six siblings, two sisters (Helen Polefko and Lillian Mitchell) and three brothers (Michael, Thomas, and Andrew).  He sold shoes and furniture in the Washington DC area, while living in Silver Springs, MD.

He married the former Rochelle Karey-Rokaw in 2006, and they resided in Kirkland, WA.  Friends there remember Pete fondly for his talents as a woodworker and gardener, and for his cheerful disposition.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Andrew.  He is survived and dearly missed by his wife, her two children and grandchildren, a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

His funeral was held on December 10, 2013 at Congregation Kol Ami in Woodinville, WA.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to cancer research or a donation of blood in Pete’s memory to your local blood bank.

Pete you will be dearly missed. We loved being your neighbors for two years and appreciate all the lovely moments shared working fixing outside things and pressure washing!

We were blessed sharing these moments with you and Rocky.
