We in the Walker family are sad to hear of Jerry’s passing. My mother (Doris Ruth Walker) always had such great respect and admiration for both Jerry and Marilyn. The obituary is a wonderful history of Jerry’s life. Clearly Jerry was a serious about the various adventures in life. It is always so good to hear how a man like Jerry enjoyed life to it’s fullest. Marilyn, our family’s thoughts and prayers are with you as you walk through this difficult time.

What a wonderful obituary about Jerry’s life and great pictures of the two of you. Jerry had such an interesting life full of adventure, things I knew nothing about. We always enjoyed your annual visits to Vegas, and have missed seeing you both every year. I also miss all the wonderful pictures Jerry would take of the kids. He always seemed to catch great moments on film!!

I wish I could come to your open house!! Uncle Jerry will be missed by all of us and my heart and prayers are with you at this hard time.

I will really miss Jerry as a next door neighbor for so many years. My memories will help me through this difficult time and my deepest sympathies to Marilyn who is an Angel. I will always remember uncle Jerry as a happy fun loving guy. I always enjoyed spending time with Jerry on your annual trips to Las Vegas and Okoboji. We will all miss him.

Excellent, loving obituary that portrays Jerry’s life so well. I did not know of all his exciting adventures. He lived life to the fullest! It was always a treat when he came to Okoboji, Iowa to spend time with all the family. But my favorite memory is my trip with Jerry and you to Vancouver and going sailing. Great fun!

What a special tribute to Jerry. He had many exciting adventures that I was not aware of. Jerry and Marilyn not only shared a special loving bond to each other, but also shared the same birthday, April 28, different years though. Also Jerry loved cats and Trinket (sitting on Jerry’s lap) and Sophie greatly miss his daily pets. Marilyn was devoted to caring for Jerry using all her nursing skills, but more important she was a loving wife and never left his side. I’m proud to be her sister.

Although Jerry is my brother-in-law I learned things about him that I didn’t know in the excellent written story about him. I also know that not only did Jerry and Marilyn share a special bond of devotion to each other; they also shared the same birth date, April 28, but different years. Also Jerry had a great love for cats and Trinket (on Jerry’s lap) and Sophie both miss his daily pets. Jerry couldn’t have received better or more loving care than he did from Marilyn. I’m proud to say she is my sister!

I will miss seeing Jerry at clinic. It was always a pleasure to see him. And even then, Marilyn was his better half.

I will be happy to donate to Northwest Harvest in Jerry’s name.
